The Mission of Browns Chapel Baptist Church is to be a congregation committed to making disciples of Jesus Christ that will positively impact our community and the world through fellowship, leadership, outreach, worship and edification in a spirit of excellence for all ages.
- Matthew 28:19-20
"Making disciples through Worship, Word, and Witnessing"
We believe in the Holy Trinity, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. We believe in Christ-Centered preaching, teaching, worship, and ministries. We also believe that the Bible is the infallible, inerrant, immutable, authoritative Word of God.
(Psalm 118:22; 2 Timothy 3:16-4:2, Colossians 3:17)
We believe the ministry of the church reaches all generations. We are a community of believers inwhose fellowship is enriched by our relationship with Christ and one another. We are committed to assembling ourselves together for worship, fellowship, encouragement, and service.
(Acts 2:42; Hebrews 10:24-25; 1 John 1:3)
We believe in biblical community impact which teaches us to be the hands and feet of Christ in the Earth by supporting local, national, and and global ministry to those who are often ignored socially and spiritually, denied basic rights, disenfranchised, or impoverished. We serve the least of these. (Matthew 25:34-46; Luke 4:18-19; Acts 1:8)
We believe that we are created to glorify God and our expressions reflect His supreme worth and value. We believe praise and worship should be evident in our personal lives as well as corporate worship. Our passionate hearts lead to real, relevant, and far-reaching experiences to the glory of God.
(John 4:23-24; Ephesians 5:18-20; Psalm 150)
Tithing & Giving
We believe in tithing and giving generously because the Word of God teaches it. Every time we gather, we give to the expenses of the church, the relief of the poor, and to aid in the spreading of the Gospel to accomplish greater works for the Kingdom of God.
(Malachi 3:8-10; Deuteronomy 16:16-17; 2 Corinthians 9:6-7)
We believe that the historical roots and tradition of this local body testify to the faithfulness of God and must be shared with future generations. Therefore we are committed to the use of oral tradition, cultural expressions, and worship, to communicate and commemorate our history of walking with God.
(Joshua 4:19-24; 2 Thessalonians 2:15; Deuteronomy 6:5-7)
